Tell us about your December holiday plans. What traditions are important in your family?

December Holiday Plans

The only specific holiday plan I have for December is to avoid getting run over by any flying reindeer or caribou that may appear out of an interdimensional gate, which might open up in my neighborhood. I have two doctors appointments, a two day port raid, and eating out at a buffet (sometime between now and New Year's Eve). The only holiday tradition I plan to observe is listening to "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer", "All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth", and "I Ain't Gittin' Nutin' for Christmas" on YouTube.

On December 24, I will add another year to my age. At 11:49 PM, on Christmas Eve, I will turn 71 years old. I hope to get some calls or Facebook posts from my siblings and their offspring. I will celebrate my birthday at home, because I have a rule about going out on Christmas Eve. Unless it is an emergency I do not leave the house on the busiest and most frightening shopping day of the year. People go nuts on Christmas Eve because they put off holiday purchases until the last minute. I'm convinced that Black Friday shopping can't be worse than Christmas Eve shopping.
