Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Prompt: "Write about spending a day with your personal hero (living)."

I spend every day in the presence of my personal hero. My personal hero is also my personal Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He is my personal hero because He willingly left the glory of Heaven to come to earth, take on human form, grow into manhood, and die the death of the cross just to save a wretch like me. I let Him down so often it's pathetic, particularly in my prayer life since I live a pretty busy life and its demands start the moment I open my eyes. I live in an assisted living home and am required to report to nursing at 0600 every morning. I wake up at five and usually manage to go back to sleep for a few minutes before going to nursing. I am typically exhausted because I manage to sleep for about an hour at a time during the night, which disrupts my sleep pattern. Thus I go back to sleep shortly after waking up at 0500. When I lie down at night I try to pray but have been so exhausted I wake up realizing I fell asleep instead. So I am learning to pray as I walk. I allow the Holy Spirit to pray for me as well. So I am pretty much always praying. Thus I am in the presence of my hero all day long.
