Mockingbird Rain

Forward to the breach
alighting on whispered promises
Never better time to sing
reflecting shadows changing overnight

Left to the bitter aftermath,
shattered vistas taking flight
Not one morning's imperative
Nature's lie was clear to see

Right to the feeding station,
solicit help with every flutter
Casual afternoon, begging for scraps
Unseen writing mattered not

Backward to the pivotal moment;
Key choices seek instant inspiration
The song over,

no one noticed the rain...
