"Loves of youth are often not.
The eyes attract, the heart quests.
"She has no thought to respond.
My heart is torn by many doubts and its tests."

Loves of youth made weary days.
Heart oft dead, a weight for mind,
no hope for love, lost in deeds,
The days of music practiced long, feelings blind.

Loves of youth in grave are gone.
Hopes remembered fall in tears.
They were worthy but no more.
Wasted effort, shattered hopes, created fears.
