That poem is a beginning.
It is the beginning.
In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God.
My God is a Mexican Madonna at the border.
My God wears a do-rag and is a rapper.
My God wears a hijab and honors Ramadan.
My God is Palestinian, kosher, vegan, omnisexual.
My God is large.
Terrestrial,celestial, amphibious,intertidal.
