Religion: One Foundation
Religion: One Foundation

"Be it known that there is but one foundation to the religion of God. The apparent differences have come through ignorance. Words differ but the purpose is one."
Abdu'l-Baha1

1
Religion's Riddle

A tree with many branches
each branch created by the appearance
of a Divine Manifestation.

2
Many Rivers

The rivers are many
their source is one;
they all flow to the sea -
down from the mountains of God's love
to the sea of unity.

Over man-made deserts,
flows the water of life,
evaporated by the sun,
it forms the clouds that hide
from the eyes of those who will not see
Divine Unity.

3
Progressive Revelation

Manifestation is the mirror,
Holy Spirit is the rays,
God is the sun.

4
Voice of God

Child,
of the receding night,
do not flee the dawn,
Turn in thy head long flight,
To meet the healing rays,
Of My rising light.

5
God Speaks
Through His Manifestations

Child of despair,
I call to thee from beyond your veil of tears,
Chanting God's immortal melody into your spiritual ears.

6
Baha'i Faith

The essence of the Faith of the Bab;
The essence of the Faith of Muhammad;
The essence of the Faith of Christ;
The essence of all Faiths going back to and before Adam.

7
The Bridge

Love
unities humanity;
heals the wounds of hate.

8
Before Abraham

Before father, Abraham,
The mystic veil parted
Revealing to the eyes of man,
In the guise of their own kin,
God's undying Splendor.

Then came father, Abraham,
From behind the mystic veil,
Who spoke to us of a single God,
Concerned about our well fair,
And loving us for ourselves.

9
Voice of God

We hear Thy voice, O Lord!
Speaking through the vocal chords
Of Thy mirrors.
