On the Event Horizon of a Black Hole

Poised
on the edge of eternity
self struggles
to maintain its hold
on matter.

Love promises salvation -
rebirth -
to the soul
that lets go of ego's fears
and falls
into the gravity well of faith.

The stretching begins,
love of God pulls at self
ripping apart
vain imaginings,
idle fancies,
and fears.

Molecule by molecule,
atom by atom,
subatomic particle by subatomic particle
self is recreated,
reborn,
transformed,
resurrected into a new reality.

Written 17 Jamal 154 B.E. This is a metaphor for rebirth through faith in the Almighty. I'm not sure about the inspiration. I wrote it after meditation.
