Madness
Madness By Lori Grawitch
Isn’t it madness this place we call home
Millions of people but still all alone
No more neighbors to count as friends
Offending everyone is now the trend
Morals and virtue lost in a sea of blame
Where the price of fame is personal shame
Cherubs amuck without a parent to guide
People out for themselves all ethics aside
No faith or hope to carry them through
What kind of future will our children pursue?
I, You, Me, and We are all in this together
Madness created through a society of hate
Bent on destruction this nation in pain
A new cause to protest at every turn
All Pointing fingers No progress earned
Our children are crying Good people are dying
Plot a course for the future our need no denying
Put an end to the madness, discover humanity
Put peace in your heart to end the insanity
Pray for our world on bended knee
Listen closely to the cries of your enemy
Their worries the same as you and I
Finding love and hope in the other man’s eye
I, You, Me, and We are all in this together
