Third parties :-( and Pink Wave 2018

Two election rants in response to comments and memes on facebook.

Re uselessness of voting for a third party: Exactly! Two part elections would allow third party candidates to make their case the first round and then a majority is necessary the second round as only two advance. This is happening in Mississippi this election, has happened in Louisiana last election. Is how it's done in California and Costa Rica.


Re Pink Wave: Regarding women and turning the Election of 2018 into a Pink Wave: What Progressive women should NOT forget:

Make your point, as eloquently and focused as possible (shouting louder doesn't count), love your allies (of whatever ilk), be non-partisan, ORGANIZE in whatever way you can and get the word out!

We all need allies. Women need men who believe in them (men-haters should STFU for the elections... it doesn't help) and other women who may not totally agree on other issues (there are many Conservative women who may not want to be at the front but they will support from behind and they vote! Liberal activists need to tone it down or STFU as well). So what's left?

I'll repeat for those in the back... Make your point, as eloquently and focused as possible, love your allies, ORGANIZE in whatever way you can and get the word out!
