The Lord's Supper:
The Nineteen-Day Feast

"Make ye an effort in every meeting that the Lord's Supper may become realized and the heavenly food descend. This heavenly food is knowledge, understanding, faith, assurance, love, affinity, kindness, purity of purpose, attraction of hearts and the union of souls. It was this manner of the Lord's Supper which descended from the heavenly kingdom in the day of Christ. When the meeting is conducted after this manner, then 'Abdu'l-Baha also is present in heart and soul, though His body may not be with you."

Atoms of air resonate
With the Nightingale 's Speech
Intoning Words of revelation

Chanting the Names of God
The Beloved of all worlds
Ascends over Splendor's horizon

The Glory of God
Rises above the Mountains of Might
Dispelling the illusions of night

Reflected from Perfection's Mirror
The Light of Divine Unity
Generates a new creation

Resurrected from the tomb of self
Soul soars on the Wings of Knowledge
Into the Heaven of God's Will

In the Loftiness of paradise
At the Table of God's Beauty
Spirit consumes the Bread of Life

In the Garden of Grandeur
From the Chalice of Mercy
Essence quaffs immortality's wine

Set ablaze by the Power of God
The Seeker's Questions
Are destroyed in the fire of faith

He knows that humanity's Honor
Is neither in physical Sovereignty
Nor material Dominion
