The Age We Live In: Two Poems

The Age We Live In:
Poem One

We are living in the dawn of a new age;
The s pring time of a new civilization,
Which at its summer solstice will encompass the whole world.

Poem Two

This is the age we're given,
dark as it is.

All though blood rains for the heavens,
and body parts fall from the sky,
we must take up love's weapons;
we must proclaim the Pen of God's Glory
though heaven and earth arise against us,
and hell crackles at our feet.

Because this is the age that we're given,
it's the era in which we must strive
to work for the Beloved,
and acquire the divine virtues
that hide our souls' nakedness
in all the worlds of God.
