Not Another Lousy Yesterday at Work for My Latest Project
Not Another Lousy Yesterday at Work for My Latest Project

It was a rotten day yesterday at work. But it wasn’t because of my writing. It could have affected it. But I didn’t let that happen again. It was bad enough that I almost got hit again at work. That’s why I consider it a lousy Friday. Work itself wasn’t that bad. In fact, it was probably slower than it usually is on Friday. The first couple of hours was kind of busy as usual. And the last half hour was too. But in between those times, it wasn’t too busy at all. Of course, it was busy. But not as busy as it has been on Fridays lately.

How did this near miss affect my writing? It should have a lot. But it didn’t. I didn’t let it happen this time. Oh, I was very mad. In fact, I was angry. Especially, when my shift supervisor came in about ten minutes later. I had just started doing my Incident Report on it when he came in. He seemed very nice about it. Promising he would come in later to pick it up and fax it to the inside site supervisor. At just before nine he called to say that he was sorry that he forgot to do it. Yeah, right. Nice move. Of course, I know the truth. He already contacted the site supervisor. And he told him to forget it. I’m sure my site supervisor told him the same thing.

Like I just wrote above, I didn’t let what happened to me at work yesterday to affect my writing. I got ninety sentences done for my second episode Treatment. That’s the Teaser Act plus Act One and Act Two aka the first half of this episode. I might have been able to do another Act. After all, I had about an hour and a half left on my shift. But I decided to do that because I figured it would start getting busy again. And I didn’t know if I could get it all done. I know that doesn’t matter. But I was still furious about what happened to me early. Besides, I was right. I did get a little bit busier during that time. just not as busy as I expected it to be.

So, today I’m going to start my writing by finishing up on my second episode Treatment. Once I get that done, I will start working on my paragraph Outlines for my first two episodes. I should be able to get started on them. I’m just not sure how much of them I will be able to get done. It all depends on work. Not just how busy it is, but if there are any more near misses. I don’t think either one will be a problem, though. Saturdays usually aren’t too busy. And the near misses haven’t happened on the weekends so far. Whether I get to my paragraph Outlines or not, I should be able to get the one sentence sentences Treatment done for episode two of my Water Wars scriptwriting project.
