Just Fifteen Scene Paragraphs Plus One Establishing Shot
Just Fifteen Scene Paragraphs Plus One Establishing Shot

Work was very helpful to me yesterday when it comes to my writing. It wasn’t very busy. In fact, it was about a fourth busy than usual. Maybe even one-third less busy. What does that mean to me and my Water Wars movie Treatment? It means that I got a lot of writing done with it because of work.

True, work was a big help with my writing. But it wasn’t the only thing, though. The writing itself was also a big part of it too. What do I mean by that? I mean once I got started writing I couldn’t stop myself from doing it. The only thing that really stops me was work. And that didn’t stop me too much.

It’s true, that I only got fifteen scene paragraphs done plus one Establishing Shot. And that may not sound like a lot. But it is. At least it is to me. Especially, considering I must handwrite it. Those sixteen scene paragraphs took up three pages of handwriting. That’s a lot of writing to me.

It is very unusual for me to have an Establishing Shot this far into an Act. But it does happen every so often. If a new location comes up, I need an Establishing Shot to introduce it. It’s only three lines in my Treatments. But it’s a little bit more in the scripts.

Not only did I get that many done, but I also got the first half of Act Three completed. I hope that I can do the same thing if not a little more today. Of course, in order to do that, I will have to do twenty more. It’s doubtful that I will be able to do that many. But it’s not impossible.

A lot of it depends on work and how busy it is today. Thursday used to be kind of slow. Not Saturday or Sunday slow, but slow. It hasn’t been like that lately, though. It’s been a little busy the last month or so. At times it has been very busy. I’m hoping that today will be one of the slow ones like yesterday.

If it is slow, then I should be able to get at least fifteen done today too. I may even be able to do twenty. Then again, if it’s busy or very busy then I may be lucky if I do ten. Whether I can do ten, fifteen, or twenty I’m going to do as many as I can do.

That is what I plan on doing today and the rest of this week. I’m going to continue working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. If I can get about halfway through the movie Treatment, I should be able to get it done within the next few weeks. I think that I have a good chance of doing that.
