I Am The Nightingale

I am the nightingale singing
in the garden of splendor,
intoning my adore for the rose.

         "Oh, My Beloved,
         how can I choose to sleep
         when the fragrance of your hue perfumes
         the night air
         with the aroma of dawn."

Look at the glorious rose,
its rainbow complexions
beautify the garden,
arouse my affection,
and inspire my song.
