Nothing Written at Work Yesterday
Nothing Written at Work Yesterday

I’m still very upset about what happened at work yesterday. And why I didn’t get anything written on the movie Treatment for my Water Wars project. This time it is their fault and not mine. Well, most of it is because of them. It was partially me because I could have maybe gotten some writing done after all.

What am I talking about? When I got to work yesterday, my post was waterlogged. No, it wasn’t flooded or anything like that. But there was still water on the floor from a rainstorm a few hours earlier. As a result, both doors were open to dry it out. I contacted maintenance. But they never show up to deal with it. It was almost four hours, aka half my shift, before it was dried.

Since it was so hot without any Air Conditioning to cool me down, I couldn’t do any writing or eating. I had a lot of trouble just breathing. It never got bad enough for me to pass out or anything like that. But it was hard for me from not doing it. Yes, there was AC. And I did turn it only briefly. But it was just Air Conditioning the outdoors. It wasn’t helping me at all. So, I turned it off.

All I could do for those almost four hours was to watch what I had downloaded on my cell phone. Of course, I did have to do a little bit of work too. but that wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t too busy at work yesterday. In fact, it was probably one of the slowest Wednesday’s since I started working there. Usually, it’s very busy on Wednesday. But it wasn’t yesterday.

By the time I could do any writing, I didn’t feel like doing it. I wanted to do it. But I was so mad that I didn’t think that I would get too much of it done. And what I may have gotten written probably would have been a waste of time because of my anger spilling over into my writing. Sort of what is happening with this Blog entry.

So, I decided not to even try. Besides, I hadn’t eaten all day. I decided to do that instead. It also gave me the time to think about my WDC Short Story while I continued watching my cell phone downloads. I also thought about it during the first four hours. But I did it even more with the last half of my shift.

After I got home from work, I planned on working on my WDC Short Story. I thought about working on my one sentence novel sentences. But I decided I needed to do the contest entry for this month instead. After all, NaNoWriMo doesn’t start for another few months. I didn’t get too much of this story done tonight. But I did get a very long one paragraph done about it. It’s not part of my story, though. Neither are the sections for it. I’m not going to do sections with this one. But then again, I might. I’ll decide that after I finish it.

Today I’m going to try to work on the movie Treatment for my Water Wars project and the WDC Short Story. The Short Story shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Unless I can’t work on my project for some reason. I don’t think that’s going to be a problem either. But it might be. It all depends on how bad it is at work today.
