It’s Not All Bad
It’s Not All Bad

As you may have noticed lately, I have tried to keep my Blog Titles a lot shorter. I’m doing that because I think that my longer ones end up being too long. Even though I do keep them under sixty characters. I don’t know for sure because I haven’t checked my Blog entries in a long time. And maybe I should do that. After all, I can change them. Can’t I?

Enough for my ranting and raving about my Blog Titles. It’s time to rant and rave about something else, my writing. I didn’t do too good at work yesterday when it comes to my writing. But I didn’t do too bad either. I only got fifteen scene paragraphs done. And five of them were Establishing Shots. But I had a couple of problems to deal with at work, though. So, only doing fifteen isn’t too bad.

One of the problems at work yesterday was that it was a very typical Thursday. It was very busy there. True, it wasn’t too busy. But it was busier than it has been in a long time. Especially, the first couple of hours and the last two. In between, it wasn’t too bad. It was still bad. But not as bad as it usually is during those four hours.

The other problem is the site that I work at as a security guard tried to kill me again. At least that the way it looks to me. Wednesday, I had a problem with water on the floor. And I didn’t have any Air Conditioning for almost four hours aka half my shift. Yesterday, I had AC all shift like usually. But it was dripping onto the electronics that control the arms of the gate. I could have been electrocuted and seriously hurt or maybe even killed because of it.

I contacted my Shift Supervisor and she called maintenance. And they finally came out to fix it. But it was two minutes after my shift was supposed to end. Just like I told my SS when she had to call them a second time because they hadn’t come out after almost six hours into my shift.

That’s enough ranting and raving about my work. Now comes some good news. At least I think that it is. At first, when I got home from work, I didn’t feel like working on my WDC Short Story for this month. I was still so mad and angry about what is going on at work in the last couple of days. But I forced myself to do it. I’m not going to give them the satisfaction of them defeating me because that is never going to happen. It may slow me down a little when it comes to my writing. But it won’t defeat me.

True, I didn’t get too much of my WDC Short Story written. But I did get the first part of it done. That’s almost four hundred words. That may not sound like a lot. But it is for me. Especially, the way that I’m feeling about work. I do wonder what they have in mind for me today, though.
