PROMPT: November 23rd - Write about writing. What makes you feel inspired to write? What steps do you take to get your words from your head onto the page? What does your editing and rewriting process look like? What have you learned from fellow writers?

What makes me inspired to write? Anything and everything I encounter eventually inspires a poem or a story. Sometimes I have to let the inspiration brew, like coffee in a coffeemaker, before it results in a poem. At other times, the words, lines, and stanzas come easily, but eventually everything I encounter or have encountered produces a poem or piece of prose.

Weather Report:
Inspiration

Interspersing
light and shadow
between joy and sorrow,
the sun plays hide and seek.

Editing? This is my downfall. I have issues, problems editing. Most of the time I can write without any problems, but when it comes to editing I have difficulty. I have fewer difficulties editing poems than I do prose, but the problem of what to keep and what to throw out still raises its head.
