I Messed Up Again, But It’s a Good Mess Up This Time

What am I writing about with a title like this one? How can a mess up be a good thing? Both are very good questions. But it’s the second one that counts the most. It’s a good thing because I got twenty paragraphs written yesterday at work. And it was a weekday that I did them.

It was also a good thing because of work. After all, it was very, very busy at work yesterday. Especially, during the first couple of hours. It was also very busy for the next five hours. Only about half as busy as the first two. The last one was hardly busy at all. I did have a little bit of work to do. But not too much of it.

That’s a little unusual for a weekday. Usually, the last hour or two are normally very busy. But not yesterday. It was almost just the opposite of that. And it was a Friday too. I was expecting it to be a little bit busy because of it being Friday. That I’m not surprised about. Where that busy came from is what surprised me aka the last hour versus the rest of the shift.

The sun was also a big problem for me yesterday. It was almost four hours into my shift before I could sit up at the desk there. Well, it’s not exactly a desk. At least not a normal one. After all, it runs the length of that post. So, it is a desk. But it’s also not a desk. Does that make any sense to you?

I kind of got off track again, didn’t I? The sun was a problem for me. But it didn’t really slow me down too much when it comes to my Water Wars movie Treatment. It did slow me down some. Only it wasn’t that bad. I got almost half of those twenty paragraphs written during that time.

What does the title for this blog entry mean? I sort of got off track again, did I? It means that I messed up. But that it was a good thing because it gave me the chance to do more than just ten paragraphs that I usually do during the week if I’m lucky. The reason why I messed up is that I forgot my cell phone charger. This means that I only got to watch television and movies during my first four hours.

It wasn’t just twenty paragraphs, though. not only were three of them Establishing Shots but one of them I had to do over completely from scratch because I decided to handle that one in a different way. So, it was sort of like I did twenty-one. But only twenty of them counted.

Today is Saturday. That usually means that I get five to ten more paragraphs written on the weekend that during the week. But that probably isn’t going to be true this weekend. It’s going to be hard to beat yesterday’s totals. I should be able to get at least ten paragraphs written today. But I’m hoping that it will be from fifteen to twenty.
