The Pillar
Though very rarely looked upon,
it gives such great support.
You walk right by and brush it some,
no thought to speak, report.

Quite bland it stands there motionless,
though painted, not much art.
Lifts weight of others through each test,
it does its daily part.

Some others in the hall of days
may hold photography,
or hold great words of teacher displays,
so bold for all to see.

Did it have hopes in younger years
to sports or music play?
Did it have courage without fears,
to greatness be always?

No. Pillars have no selfish thoughts.
Their molded and then placed
fulfilling life for they is bought
to shine the Maker's face.
