Between Two Posts

Unfortunately, I only got approximately nine synopses done for The Bible for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Well, that isn’t exactly right. I really only got eight done. But the movie synopsis is twice the length as the other seven. And that’s because it’s sort of like a two-parter the way that it has been written.

Nine isn’t too bad considering I had to write them by hand at work yesterday. At least I don’t think that it’s too bad. Especially, since I did them at two individual posts. And one of them was extremely busy. So, busy that I was on my feet for about three hours of the four that I was there. I’m kind of surprised that I got the movie and the two episodes written. But it was the synopses for the Outlines and the Treatments that I have written for this project.

So, they were too hard for me to write. I just had to figure out how to do it within five lines, ten for the movie. Of course, I knew what I wanted to write. But I wasn’t sure how to write them within the five or ten lines. It wasn’t as hard as I thought that it would be, though.

Five lines are what all my episode synopses are going to be. That isn’t what almost stopped me from not trying to do some more writing at my regular post. It was work-related. But it wasn’t because of how extremely busy it was during those first four hours of my shift yesterday. No, it was because of what happened just before I went to that other post.

The way that I felt when I went to my other post is the reason why I almost didn’t do any more writing yesterday. But I forced myself to do it. True, I only did five more in four hours. It was a lot more than I would have gotten written if I didn’t try to write anymore.

Unfortunately, I’m doing the same thing today as I did at work yesterday. I’m working at both gates. Does that mean I’m probably only going to get about nine synopses done? I don’t know about that. But because it’s a Sunday, I should be able to do at least that many. If not a little bit more.

Why do I think that I may do more synopses today? It’s not because it’s Sunday because I have never worked my old post on a Sunday. So, I don’t know how bad it’s going to be there for the first four hours of my shift. But I don’t think that it will be too bad. After all, it is a Sunday. And I’m hoping that it won’t be too busy at that post. If it isn’t, then I should be able to get some more writing done. But if it is, then I may be lucky to get three or four written.

I know how busy it is at my main post. But I don’t know how busy it can get at the post I used to be on Wednesdays. Unfortunately, I also don’t know how I’m going to feel about writing the last four hours of my shift. That all depends on the first four hours. I’m hoping that I will feel like doing a lot more writing. But I won’t know that until I do it or I don’t do it.
