Episode Two and Three Barely
Episode Two and Three Barely

That’s right. I barely got one hundred and eight single sentences written for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. But I barely got them done yesterday at work. What does that mean? It means that I got episode two and episode three of my single sentence Outlines finished. That only leaves one more episode before I can start doing my Treatments for the first four episodes of this television series.

Why did I write barely in the title for this blog entry and the paragraph above? Because it took me almost my whole shift to write them. And I was very lucky that I got that many written. After all, it took me almost five hours just to do the first one. That only left me three hours to do the second one.

So, why did it take me so long to get episode two, “One of the First to Leave us,” done? What is the usual reason why? That right, it’s work. Only this time it wasn’t work. It was me. And this time it was a lack of concentration that kept me from doing it. I don’t know why. But I had a lot of trouble concentrating during those first five hours.

True, it was very, very busy at work yesterday. But not that busy. Especially, during the first five hours. It was a lot busier than it usually is for a Thursday. But it wasn’t that much busier than the last couple of Thursdays. I wasn’t on my feet too much. It was a little bit more than it should have been. Especially, when it means going outside. I did that a whole lot yesterday too. But even that didn’t slow me down that much during those first five hours.

As for the last three hours, I don’t know what happened during that time. Once I started writing episode three, “Too Many,” I couldn’t stop until I finished it. It was like my fingers took over and guided my pencil to paper. And it didn’t stop until I completed it. The only thing that slowed me down was work. But it wasn’t that bad. It did get a little bit busy during that time. And I was on my feet a lot. But it wasn’t that busy.

What does that mean for today? It means that I should not only get episode four, “Living in an InWaterStructure,” done but I should get started on the Treatments today too. I just don’t know how much of the first episode Treatment that I am going to be able to get written. I’m hoping that it’s a lot. But because of the last couple of days of writing and work I may be lucky if I get episode four written.
