Work This Time

I didn’t get any writing done yesterday at work. And this time it is because of work. No, I was at my old post or that it was extremely busy. It was because of a new rule that only applies to me again. A rule that wasn’t even followed yesterday. And writing isn’t the only thing I did without too. I also didn’t get to eat anything either.

So, what is this new rule? On Thursday, the cleaners for where I work told me that they needed to clean everywhere. And that included my desk, the windows, the window ledges, the microwave, the refrigerator, etc. That was my problem on Thursday. I had to move all my food and writing supplies away from the desk so that it could be cleaned. It only took about twenty minutes to do finish doing it. But I was on my feet that whole time.

That I couldn’t take again. So, I only took my phone and drink into work at first. And I only took my drink because I didn’t want it to be in the hot car until they came to do the cleaning. Which should have only been about an hour and a half at the most. Then I would have gotten the rest of my stuff. Like my food and writing supplies. the only problem was they never showed up to do the cleaning.

Normally, they come in about four PM WDC time to do the cleaning on Friday. But they didn’t show up at all. So, I went all my shift without food or writing. All I had was a fifty-two-ounce drink and my cell phone. What did I do? I had no choice but to watch television all day. Which I would have done anyway. But yesterday that’s about all that I did.

Work was pretty much a normal Friday. It was very busy most of the time. But it wasn’t as busy as they have been the last several weeks. I made it even busier by taking my time to do my work. It was only a few seconds. But it still made them mad. Especially, when I couldn’t get the gate arm to work properly. A lot of that was because it still isn’t working for me. But it was also because of me.

Today I’m going back to my eating and writing. If they want to try to fire me because of that, they are in for a lot of trouble. I don’t think I will have any problem with that, though. After all, it’s Saturday. And they don’t clean over the weekend anyway. So, I shouldn’t have any problem with eating or writing today. At least I won’t, depending on how I feel about the last couple of days.

I’m not sure how much writing I will get done today. It all depends on how I feel, work, and the weather. If I’m still feeling like I am right now, then I will get a lot of my writing done. And if I calm down even a little, I may not get as much writing done as I would like to get done. I don’t think that I’m going to calm down, though. In fact, my feelings may even get worse.
