This Time It's All Their Fault
This Time It’s
All Their Fault

I didn’t get any writing done yesterday at work. Well, that isn’t exactly true. It’s true, that I wanted to get a lot of the third episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And I got out my writing supplies. but I only got a couple of sentences written for my Teaser Act before I realized that I wouldn’t get too much more written. If I even got any more written. Including that single paragraph.

Why didn’t I get more written yesterday at work? This time it’s because of work. It was extremely, extremely busy at work yesterday. Especially, the first half of it. In fact, it was so busy that I was on my feet about seventy-five to ninety percent of the time. Six times longer than I should have been.

That’s right, I worked at my old post yesterday at work. And it was busy almost constantly. But it being so busy wasn’t my only problem working that post. I also had to write up two Incident Reports. And I probably should have written up one or two more IRs. But I choose not to do them. Two of them were bad enough.

The first two IRs happened toward the end of the first half of my shift. When I was on my feet most of the time. It wasn’t quite so busy the second half of it. But it wasn’t that much of a difference, though. instead of it being doubly extremely busy, it was just singly extreme.

As far as I know, I’m going to be back at my regular post today. If that’s true, then my goal for today is the same as the one was for yesterday. I’m hoping to get about fifteen single paragraphs written for this project. I would like to do more than that. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens.

A lot depends on two things. One is which post I am at. And the second one is how busy it gets at that post. If I’m at my regular post, then I may be able to get that many. Maybe even a little more. But if it’s my old post again, then I may not get any more writing done again today. I don’t think that is going to happen, though. I’m sure that it will be at my regular post. But I’m not going to know that for sure until I get there or shortly before I do.
