Another Norma Jean

So did you know Norma Jean was Marilyn Monroe's real name? Well, real first name anyway. I like to think I was named after her. But alas, no. I was named for one of my mother's friends.

Do you think she could have made it in this day of body shaming and body obsession? She always seems to be so oblivious to her sexuality in her movies. Innocent almost. Love that about her. But then, was it innocent? Was all that attention to her something that drove her to distraction and to her death?

Ah Marilyn Monroe. A real icon.
