I know I missed a day last week, but the board is showing that I haven't blogged since Octber 31, 2020. I know that isn't right. Maybe a post got deleted?

Technical problems onboard. No prompt today. Although I missed yesterday due to class so I am making up for it today by doing yesterday's prompt today. Here is yesterday's prompt:

Write about this bow tie cat or the cat in the hat.

I don't know about this bow-tie cat. To be totally honest, I'm still behind the eight ball in class so I just sort of ducked in today to do my blogging. I'm buried in work. Then I am also covering for two other people at my floor leader job so I'm too busy to read much for enjoyment. Writing has become a hobby and hobbies you do in your spare time. Anyway the Cat in the Hat was a childhood favorite. I especially liked Green Eggs and Ham though. I heard once or twice that people told Dr. Seuss he was insane for writing such foolishness. They said it would never sell. He laughed all the way to the bank.

Proverbs 2:9-12

9. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

10. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

11. Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

12. To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

I think the proverb basically gives you the solution to itself. It says in Proverbs 2:9 "Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair", NLT.

Wisdom is understanding the heart of God and having a heart modeled after the heart of God. God's heart calls for love. God feels agape love for man, which is a Greek word, expressed as χάσκων and is an unconditional love that only God Himself is capable of. The Greek word used to express the type of love called for by Proverbs 2:9 is agapao or ἀγαπάω and is the type of love that does the right thing because it is the right thing. It was this agapao love or ἀγαπάω that Jesus called for in Matthew 7:12 or what we refer to as the Golden Rule. Jesus also called for ir in Matthew 22:39 when He told the lawyer to love his neighbor as much as he loved himself. ἀγαπάω is not hard. We just treat others the way we want them to treat us. If they treat us badly we forgive them because we would want them to forgive us if we harmed them. It's very simple. Do the right thing. In doing so we practice wisdom.

I agree that gratitude is an inside job. When we thank God for what we have instead of complaining about what we don't have, we learn to appreciate what we have. This is gratitude. It is a satisfaction, a thankfulness that is peaceful and self-rewarding.
