No Water Wars Yesterday
No Water Wars Yesterday

Unfortunately, the above blog title is true. I didn’t get any writing done on my Water Wars scriptwriting project at work yesterday. A lot of the reason why is because of work. In fact, it’s almost all because of work. I write that it’s about work because it was very busy there yesterday. One of the busiest ones that I have seen in a long time. If it’s not the busiest ones. And I think that it was the busiest one. Especially, for it being a Friday.

It being busy isn’t the only reason why I consider work to be the reason why I didn’t get anything written on this project yesterday at work. In fact, the main reason doesn’t have anything to do with work. Well, in a way it does. I’m not writing about where I work. But who I work for. What does that mean? It means that I had another split shift at work yesterday. Only this time it was at what I call the Main Gate.

What does that mean? It means that I couldn’t do any writing at all while I was at the Main Gate. Not because it was busy there, but because I can’t do any writing, television, or movie watching on my cell phone. I’m allowed to drink there. but that’s about it. That’s why I don’t like it. True, it’s mostly because of no writing. But it’s also because of no television or movie watching. Especially, since everyone else is allowed to do it.

In the last four hours, I could have gotten a little bit of my writing done. That’s because I didn’t know about the split shift until I got to work. As a result, I did take my writing supplies yesterday at work. But I just didn’t feel like doing any writing after the first four hours. Not just because it was very busy during the first half of my shift. It was also because I didn’t feel like doing it.

Of course, I planned on doing some writing during the second half of my shift. Even a few single paragraphs for the first episode of this project is better than none at all. I took my writing supplies out. And I was going to work on this project. But I just couldn’t force myself to do it.

I only need thirty more single paragraphs to finish writing Act Two of this project. normally, I may have a good shot of doing that. after all, it is the weekend. But this isn’t a normal weekend, though. that’s because I already know that I’m going to be doing another split shift on Sunday at the Main Gate. So, unless I do all thirty today, I won’t be able to end Act Two. And I doubt that I will be able to do that.
