Indian Perspective
I heard Mrs Kamala Harris talk. She is all American in mind body and soul
Whenever she says my country she means
Uncle Sam and we are fighting whether to call her a tamilian and while
she is not even an Indian.

Kamala Harris is no doubt an accomplished woman
But she is an accomplished American woman
Her loyalty and her intellectual contribution will only be to the US
It is infact correct and quite acceptable
Let us not discuss her Indian origin which is biological not her choice.
Her nationality is her choice and it is American
She will laugh at us if she comes to know our claims!!

A few years back there was a similar situation when an Indian origin American scientist was awarded the Nobel prize.
An old school teacher claimed that he remembered this laureate as a bright student and was snubbed immediately
We have no dearth of accomplished Indians living in India
It is high time we deviate our attention from Sunita Williams Kamala Harris or Kalpana Chawla

*Let us appreciate the women who stayed back in this country and contributed to the betterment of this country like*
*Kiran Mujumdhar of biocon*
*Dr Shantha of cancer hospital*
*Dr Valarmthi of Isro*
*Dr Aparnarao who trains commandos*

*Let us educate our children about the accomplishments and sacrifices of women like Velu Nachiyar, Thillayadi Valliammai, Neerja Balot, Sister Subbulakshmi, Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy, Karnam Malleaswari, Savitribai Phule, Sudha Murthy and many more Indian women who are unsung heroins*

Let us talk to our children about contemporary personalities, values, goals and humanity.
