Lionel Puck goes on a quest to find Meras, the legendary element that makes up the human soul. Since it has been dispersed to the far folds of the universe as he knows it, he and his misfits, Cassandra and Gerulf, from a mysterious organization called the Keepers, travel use rapheus, a book with a mind of its own to travel through seven worlds to get the Meras particles before the baddies do. Solstis is intent on bringing back the Great Deluge (giant frothing demon invasion...you get the idea) and only they can stop him. Will they band together or will the pasts of his friends keep them from achieving their goals?
