Seven unlikely companions band together to save their lands from falling into darkness.
--THE LEGEND OF THE DRAGONRINGS--

The Prophecy of the Seven Dragonrings

In ancient days when tales were real
And chivalry not yet dead
When truth, love, and bravery
Outshone lies and hate and dread
There fell upon the fertile land
A shadow dark as night
And evil twisted truthful thoughts
To make kin and brethren fight.
But out of the shadow came seven souls
Who were strong and unafraid
And to outwit the cunning lord
Seven ivory rings they made:
The rings each held special qualities
And to their masters they were tied
But even though the brave souls fought
One by one, they died.
The evil was thrown from the land
And celebrations melted the frost
But in the final battle of wills
The seven rings were lost.
One day soon there shall return
The dragonlord of the east
And his appearance shall destroy
The happiness and peace
In this time of woe and fear
When evil seems to win
The Dragonrings will be regained
And the true battle shall begin.
The rings will be told by this sign:
They each grow hot at touch
Each shall bind themselves anew
And I can tell this much:
One renders you invisible
One can make you fly,
One will let you have all knowledge;
One will make things die.
One lets you control the weather
One summons help when willed,
One lets you understand all creatures;
So that evil may be stilled.
But warned be those who wear the rings—
I shall leave thee to thy doom
For though you may yet save the world…
You could perish just as soon.

(Prophecy of the Seven dragonrings, foretold by the Oracle of Mt. Evrine, the Lady Indirina, on the fifth day of the the ninth month.)
