A mercenary is paid to unknowingly complete a dark ritual to bring chaos to the lands.
The Motherhood, a corrupt religion, retains the only hold over the country, a strenuous hold.

Kirt, a mercenary, is paid to kill starved men in a derelict church. Bad enough is the chaos of the country that resulted from the recent assasination of the nobility of Kirt's home city, Benford, but the repercussions of Kirt's most recent job will bring the country into turmoil, and blur the lines between reality and nightmare.
