I have often been told that a blog or diary is one of the greatest assets to a writer, enabling them to note down any random thoughts or ideas that may eventually serve to inspire a piece of writing. This blog will be nothing more (or less) than a splurge of happenings in my life, and the opinions and thoughts that go with it. Hopefully it might help someone with their writing.
As for writing ... Writing every day is a great beginning. There are stories within the antics of your cats, for instance. There is poetry too I suspect.
Both the interior and exterior world are worthy of note. But details make it come alive. CAT for instance makes so much more sense if we know what the cat looks like, smells like, does. Or for that matter from the viewpoint of the cat: what do you or your partner look like, smell like, do?
And people ... they say the funniest things. Take note of them too. Record any moment that evokes an emotion whether sad or glad. And remember the details to make it more vivid. Write ... and edit later.
