This is a collection of my thoughts on various parts of the Bible. I stick to what the Bible says, but my thoughts are just that, my thoughts. You may not agree, you may be offended. I'm here if you want to talk.
I agree with what you've said here. It's sad that so many folks go on what they've been taught or just heard down throughout their lives, rather than check out the whole Bible. So many have been deceived by not doing their own studying and praying. As you've been talking about, they might would study and pray but they're afraid they'll find out they've been taught (and are teaching) wrong.

Thank you so much for stopping in. I only know how to write what God lays on my heart. I also never write it unless it is scriptural. I have taken time before entering my last blog because of just that. I never want to say or do anything that will lead people astray.

I am surprized that I haven't received more negativity also, but this is true according to the Bible, if people don't like it, I understand. It's not me that their anger will be aimed at.
I'll keep writing them as long as you keep visiting them.

You are right about one thing, sheep will return to the sheep pen, and pigs will return to the pig pen....but that is a most of the time situation, not an all the time situation.
Sometimes, people just buck and run, and they run until satan has them firmly in his grip , and has the blinders fastened back on with chains that seem to be unbreakable. It is always the persons choice though. Thank you for sharing your choices and how God brought you back to the fold. Praise God for His unfailing mercy and grace.

Rob, I'm really surprised you haven't had a lot of argument on this post. You've hit off on a very controversial subject. However, I have read it several times, and I must say, I agree with you 100% .
I believe when we turn our backs on God, He will do everything He can to bring us back into the fold. I believe He lets things happen to us that make us realize we want to come home. It's still our choice. We can be stubborn and refuse to come back. First of all, if we are born again Christians, it's not easy to turn our backs on God and His way. We literally put up a fight; sometimes without even realizing it. I don't believe we turn our backs on Him overnight.
My youngest son turned his back on God a few years ago (a gradual drifting away). He was angry and filled with bitterness. I knew John Boy had a calling on his life and I continued to pray for him. For a long time, I'd pray for God to keep him safe and bring him back Home (into the fold). I'd beg God not to let anything bad happen to him. Then it hit me. God was answering my prayer. He was keeping my son safe and dealing with him to come back to Him. Yet, my prayer was hindering my son. I finally started praying differently. It dawned on me that John Boy was not only my son, but he was God's son also. I turned him over to God to do what He knew would bring John Boy back. Right after I did this, I received a phone call. John Boy had been in an auto accident and it was really bad. The rescue attendants didn't think he'd live long enough for them to get him out of his vehicle. They didn't think he'd make it to the hospital once they got him in the ambulance. Once he reached the hospital, we were told they couldn't help him at our hospital and didn't really think he'd make it to be transferred to another town. Yet, he was airlifted to another hospital 60 miles away. When he reached that hospital, they didn't think he'd live. This was on Sunday night. Tuesday morning, he was sitting in the bed in the trauma intensive care unit, joking and laughing. He had surgery ( the doctor said he might not live through the surgery) a few days after that. He was home in less than two weeks. The wreck didn't stop him, but it slowed him down. One year to the date of his wreck, he sat on my couch in my living room and turned his life back over to God. True, God brought my son back into the fold, but John Boy had to make that decision. Yet, I believe had he not surrendered, and had he died, he would have gone to Hell.
By the way, the music isn't the style I like, (I like Southern Gospel), but check out this website if I haven't already asked you to, www.myspace.com/consumednc and see what God can do. John Boy is the guy wearing the bandana. When the pictures were made, he was still self-conscious of the scar on his head. The surgeon had to rebuild his face (every bone in his face had been crushed; the nose bone was nothing but powder).
Again, I got carried away, but that just seems to be my nature these days.
I think you get fired up just right Grams. I agree with you whole heartedly. We do not take care of those who are babes in Christ the way we use to. I think an even bigger problem is the fact that preachers who try to feed their flocks the meat of the word do so with agendas or beliefs of their own. It doesn't matter what we believe, it matters what the Bible says. If we stick to preaching the Bible, and I mean the whole Bible, not leaving scriptures out that we don't particularly understand, or like, we will do all Christians right, including those who think they know everything. Stay fired up Grams, I love the help.
