A chronicle of questions and thoughts from a college student.
This is me on my soapbox.

I may have something to say about love, society, events, work, people, ideas, or any number of things. Every now and then we all have something to chronicle. Wether it is just for my own catalouging purposes, or to get a message out.

This is

Dreams
May 28, 2008 at 5:46am
I really want to look into what our dreams mean. I've had some really crazy ones lately (that I won't bother trying to explain or justify) and I know some of the stuff in there has to symbolize something. Why do I love dreams so much anyway? It doesn't even matter if it's a boring dream or a scary dream, I always wake up with a bit of a smile after a dream. Maybe it's because my dreams are so creative. Where else am I going to hear a story about someone who got held up at ... [Read more]
Opinionated Politics
March 11, 2008 at 2:42am
This entry is going to be a bit of venting, so excuse me if I seem a bit irritable. With the presidential election coming up, I'm hearing more and more about people's political thoughts. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for that. I like to hear people's thoughts on the major issues and why they vote the way they vote. If your opinion is different from mine, that's fine! We don't HAVE to agree. Everyone seems to think that when two people discuss politics, they both shou... [Read more]
Take Chances!......or not
March 11, 2008 at 2:22am
It seems like every inspirational story tries to instill a value of fearlessness into it's audience. The moral of the story is to take a chance; don't sit idly by and watch your life pass you by. Here's a somewhat silly fact about me: One of my favorite movies is "The Girl Next Door." If you haven't heard of it, I don't blame you. It stars Emile Hirsch and Elisha Cuthbert, two hardly celebs. To sum it up, Emile's character is a smart, reserved kid who never tak... [Read more]
Intuition
September 20, 2007 at 1:44pm
In my Management Studies class, my professor spoke about different ways in which people (namely employees) obtain knowledge. He lists 7 different ways. -Direct Personal Experience -Vicarious Experiences -Verbal Persuasion -Logical Verification -Faith -Science -Intuition My professor stopped after each one and gave a brief explanation as to why each one was included. The one that really stood out to me was intuition. As a business student, intuition is the least important of all. But ... [Read more]
How not to Pick up a girl
September 20, 2007 at 12:54am
So today I'm sitting in the student lounge at school working on homework, and some guy sits down next to me. I've got my headphones in and I'm pretty focused on my work. He leans over and taps me on the shoulder, so I take my headphones out and look over at him. "Hi, I'm [name omitted]." He says and reaches his hand out to shake mine. I'm pretty creeped out at this point. I do the polite thing and shake his hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Kim." I'm h... [Read more]
Introduction / Human Nature
September 18, 2007 at 10:23am
Here I am. Before I pour into my life story or reach into the deep processes of my mind, I must first thank someone. Thank you to the anonymous person who gifted me an upgraded membership. I trully appreciate it. I don't know the cause of it. Perhaps I reviewed someone's work or took their survey and he or she was grateful. Whatever the reason, I can now write all I want about it in this book. So thank you. =) It's the little things like this that retain my fleeting hope for... [Read more]
