Prompt: Do you think it is possible to heal on our own, or do we always need to reach out for the comfort of other people in order to fully heal? Here is a word in answer to the prompt. Every person has a need for the touch of others, the connection with someone. As far as healing on our own, I don't think it's possible. Life throws some mighty big illnesses at us. It even deals often debilitating blows, making it necessary to have help. Nearly every day, a loved one can be found in a home caring for another. Going to great lengths to keep him/her comfortable so healing can be made complete. Healing on your own, with the proper medication is possible. However your physical well being is only one part of us. We are more than physical creatures and the mental, emotional, and spiritual must be incorporated in the healing process. |
