| I want to thank You Lord for being with us. I know oftentimes we make such a fuss. With a pandemic and civil unrest it all seems lost. But then You remind us at just the right time, that You found we who once were so lost. Your salvation, through Your Son Jesus, is evidence that You are committed to Your creation. We follow Your lead and find the relief that we need when we feel so battered and bruised. Our nation is at a crossroads. I pray we will continue to follow You through this trying time. Teach us the lessons we must learn, as we attempt to return to normal soon and very soon. Lives may never be the same after this time is past. But through it all, help us to take hope in the promise that You will never leave or forsake us. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen. |
Javin Your Name An Acrostic By Steve C 06-18-2020 Just listen to the birds in the trees. All aflutter and singing their songs. Very quiet or quite boisterous they can be. In the little time taken to listen in, calm comes along. Nearer to the heart of God you are drawn, Javin, the author and perfecter of our faith. Your name an acrostic Javin, is a lesson in finding your peace and calm throughout the day. Javin, from Javan, a son of Noah, in the Hebrew language means "clay"/"example". Your Scripture verse is found in the book of Deuteronomy. "Assemble the people to Me, that I may let them hear My words so they . . . may teach their children." (4:10) |
| Sometimes I want to curl up in a ball. But then I hear someone call. And then I roll out of the world within? Into the world that makes me want to give in. Troubles, perils, unrest all around us. A virus that just won't die surrounds us. Congress can't come to a bipartisan draw, And we the people are on our last straw. I'm reminded that there is light on the horizon. That there is soon an end of this season. Then something out of nowhere strikes again. Fueling my resolve to stand to His holy gain. Then I pray in Jesus mighty name to heal us, To touch us with His healing balm of Gilead. One family after another seemingly rising, out of the refining fires, and into hope arising. | A lunar eclipse occured. The moon had a strawberry hue. God's power in the sky brings our world back into perspective. The virus, the demonstrations and looters, the fear that is running rampant are all really a tactic to keep our focus off of His work around us. It's been working beloved but now there is a shift in the wind. People are seeing beyond the veil of confusion and fear. The truth is coming out. There is hope creeping in, there is peace of mind settling in. There are writers writing again. There was fear, doubt, and yes our new normal has had an impact on our day-to-day lives. Lives are changing not by the stimulus packages, but by the new wind of hope blowing through the mind body and soul of those who know the One who's truly in control. The civil unrest, the violence inflicted by those who are supposed to protect and serve, is causing so many different problems and future concerns. But lest we lose ourselves in the doom and gloom, lets turn our heart mind and soul to the One who is in control and acting in our behalf even now beloved. There was a lunar eclipse. The moon bore a strawberry hue for all to see. The wind of change is blowing over our hearts and minds. The hope that was on the horizon is now within our reach. He is still in control and as Congress battles over their own political agendas, leaving their employers in limbo, and that is us beloved, there is hope. His name is Jesus! Jehovah Rapha. The Great I Am. King of kings and Lord of lords. Wonderful counselor. The comforter. Jehovah Jirah. The chain breaker. The way maker. The list goes on, just as His Love for us grows every day. Grab onto the wind of change and embrace it. He is the best stimulus package you will ever receive beloved and that's the truth! |
