i did not edit this so if it looks like it has not been edited that is why
If you read this and say to yourself “this makes no sense” I'm sorry I will edit it when I edit it :) but if you will tell me what exactly does not make sense it will make editing easier
Fear engulfed me as I entered the stage. The older wiser peaces told me that I had nothing to fear and that all I needed to do was fallow orders, but that is hardly comforting when you have to stare down sixteen enemies with nothing but a spear and a shield to protect you.
But I will start in the beginning. When I was born I was in the dark. But I was not alone. There were others all around me. Some were the same as me, others were different. No one knew what was going on. We just existed in a timeless world.
One day, though at the time I knew nothing of days, we shook. This had happened before but not like this. We jostled and bounced felt weightless then felt our bodies crushed.
Then it ended or I should say it began.
We all saw light for the first time. We could finally see what made us, us. Some of us shook with fear, some of us looked around with excitement, but I observed. I saw that I was black and I saw that others were white. I saw that many looked exactly like me and I saw Him. When I saw him a shiver went up my spine. I felt a sense of power run through me like I had never felt before. It was like I had never existed before that moment.
He picked us up and put us in our place mirroring each other; black on one side white on the other. I looked at what we stood on. It was a board made of squares both black and white. It gave me a sense of equality when I saw that white had no more squares than my black.
I knew that something was coming something of great importance. I found that I was shaking. His hand came up I realized he was reaching for me. Then I heard sound for the first time. I knew not what it meant but He did. He scooped my comrades up and put them back where we had came from. What I now know is a box. For some reason, I hope it was an accident he left me on the floor.
Feet like his moved around me nearly landing on top of me. One kicked me under a table. Under that table I learned many things. I learned to His culture His language and how to read His words.
One day a man a old man walked into the caffe. He looked much like the other men I had seen there but one thing made him different. It was what he carried. In his hand was a board just like what He had the day I first saw the light. It had squares, one the color of me the other a pearly white.
I pulled myself toward him trying to get his attention. My legs did not work. I don't know if they always were always so stiff or if they were broken when I was kicked under the table. Ether way it took me an eternity to get to the old man. When I did I used the rest of my strength to fall on this leg.
Thankfully I he noticed me and picked me up. He looked me in the eye and said “Can you understand me?”
          I said “yes”
