See me rant. See me joke. See me be ME.
** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

Warning: I'm an opinionated, but open-minded person. I'm sure that I'll say things to offend you, but I'm always willing to listen to your side. So, if there's something you want to rant back at me about, do so, just don't be a dick about it. Maybe we can have some great discussions on here!

I never know what to say in these little blank boxes. I guess the best thing to do, is just jump in and start reading. Hopefully you'll find something you like!

It's nearly 11, here, and I'm not drunk at the bar. Sigh

This is the first year where everyone seems to be grown up- their lives and jobs keeping them from doing our annual St. Patrick's Day all-day-wasted-fest. It's sort of sad, but that's the way life goes, I suppose. Things change, people get older, forget how to have fun.

During my first year of college, I was blown away when my Philosophy 101 class was held at a nearby bar, instead of on campus, on St. Patrick's Day. Most of us were too young to drink. The professor sure downed quite a few beers in that hour, though, as our learning turned from logic to, well, absolutely nothing, but a fun time in a bar just talking.

It was the first time I actually realized I was no longer a child.

All things must come to an end, though, and that's okay. I'm sure a great day is ahead of me, even if I'm not drunk with my friends!

Sometimes I come across things on the internet. I have no idea how I got there, or what I'm looking at, but I'm sure glad I did. Just now was one of those instances. This   guy is a pretty good writer, and I've just spent a lot of time reading some of his life stories, and it definitely made my coffee drinking time, enjoyable (even if I have no clue what, exactly, I'm reading)!

I've decided my port here is disgustingly empty, so I'm working on a story to upload. I have so many things written, but I refuse to put them on here, because my goal of joining this site was to start writing again. I feel like posting a bunch of old writings would be cheating, or something, so my port will be desolate for awhile, which is fine for me, as long as something gets posted.

My entries in this blog have been sort of short, so boooo me. I decided to start this at a time in my life when absolutely nothing is going on, so anyone that ventures here has to put up with random links I find online, or me opining about something unimportant. That's fine by me, as long as I'm writing. Maybe I should start some free writing exercises. It would definitely fill up some space and could be interesting!

God, I wish I lived in Buenos Aires  , so I could visit a book store that looks like this. I don't think I'd ever leave. Seriously!

The nice Michigan weather has disappeared, leaving snowy, rainy, coldness that I absolutely hate. The shittyness outside leaves me inspired to write, though, so I guess that it isn't the worst thing to ever happen!

Okay, this is just wrong  .

"King Penguins are notorious for their prim, tuxedoed appearance -- but a recently discovered all-black penguin seems unafraid to defy convention. In what has been described as a "one in a zillion kind of mutation," biologists say that the animal has lost control of its pigmentation, an occurrence that is extremely rare."

I expect my penguins to look like little people (with a funny nose) in tuxedos, not little people in an all-black cotton robe.

So I woke up today with the weirdest question on my mind.

What the Hell ever happened to Shaggy?

You know, that funny-non-Jamaican-guy-who-raps-in-a-Jamaican-accent?

For reference:

It's not like he was a one-hit wonder. I can remember several songs from my early teens. Strangely, he just disappeared. Maybe people got sick of faux Jamaican pop music. Too bad, I really liked some of his songs, and besides, you never go Full Jamaican, for fear you'll never understand what is being said.

I have so much shit I should be doing today, but I doubt I'll get to any of it. I have no real responsibilities today (no class, no work), so I might just go outside and enjoy the nice weather (which, for Michigan, means 50 and sunny). I just bought , which, according to several sources I trust, is supposed to be one of those BestBooksEver that I somehow missed 10 years ago, when it came out.

So, screw all the stuff I'm supposed to do. I'd rather sit outside reading House Of Leaves, pretending it's the summer, Shaggy's fake Jamaican ass helping the mood.

Sounds like paradise, or as close as I can get. It is March in Michigan, after all.

Monogamy is a funny thing. People seem to value it in their partners, but not so much when it comes to themselves.

Ashley Madison  , a dating site for married people, recently took a survey of its users, and found the following professions are most likely to cheat (so watch out if you're married to someone in these professions... or, I guess, if you cheat and are employed in one of these professions, feel, ummm, relieved to be normal!!) and, no, pro-golfer didn't make the list!

For Women:
1. Teachers
2. Stay-at-home Moms
3. Nurses
4. Administrative Assistants
5. Real Estate Agents

For Men:
1. Physicians
2. Police Officers
3. Lawyers
4. Real Estate Agents
5. Engineers

I'm really not sure what we've learned here, other than that Real Estate Agents are whores (which we kinda already knew), or maybe that people with power like to dominate (also, really, not surprising!)... but, at least, if you're in a relationship with a member of any of these professions, you now know to stalk them wherever they go and to go through their phone when they're in the shower!
