| We are all Intelligent People aren't we, then why is the world in such a mess? Introduction In this blog I want to explore these topics: (This is my personal opinion and is in no way intended to offend.) 1.Dumbing Down: Why can't we go the other way and improve everyone's understanding. TV, films, Education, even this wonderful internet making everything fast, giving bite sized information. Habitual use trains you to cut down your levels of focus and concentration.What things are you choosing to fill your life with that improves the way you think or do things? 2.Men and Women: How can we work together and live in peace and understanding? Few really manage this and a lot live with a veneer of understanding or lead double lives where one never really knows the heart of the other. How do Men and women think? Lets learn how to recognise each others needs and be more accepting. 3.The Mind:It is our power house, it is where we decide what shapes our future. It needs to be nurtured looked after and kept under control. I will bring in the latest developments from the science community connected to how the brain and mind works. We will explore meditation and other techniques that help to sustain the equilibrium of thought. With our thoughts we make the World 4.Spirituality :In what ever form this takes. This is a key ingredient to the human existence. I studied many different doctrines and one thing is common to all ,that there is one fountain of base knowledge and each one has its own pathway to it. Even hardened atheists will seek the presence of something greater than themselves toward the end of their life. 5.Information in View: In these sections I want to look at items of information that are fed out in to the public arena in various ways. Through news, TV , books, art etc, we receive knowledge. What does this information mean and what effect does it have on our lives directly, now or in the future. Should we be reading in between the lines? I will give links to sites that will hopefully further your knowledge of yourself by giving a wider selection of information to chose from to help make your self decisions. There are many topics and sub topics that will be explored. I welcome any feedback and will be doing polls and surveys on different subjects and relaying the results . I will also be featuring Guest Writers. Join me in an exploration of who we are. |
