A Glimpse into the Mind of Evil
"There is a particular breed of man inhabiting our fine city. He finds those who are on their deathbeds, at death's door, and he observes their dying. He is fascinated by it. And in turn, I am fascinated by him, as no normal man would seek such morbid, carnal entertainments."

"Dying is almost the least spiritual of our acts, more strictly carnal even than the act of Love. There are Death Agonies that are like the strainings of the Costive at stool."

         - Aldous Huxley

"Read my journal, if you dare."

NOTE: To anyone who finds this work. This is a completely new format/style for me. I'm attempting to create a 'frame story  ' with an 'unreliable narrator  '. If you are familiar with these literary devices, feel free to comment on anything you see that indicates I am slipping away from one or both. As I said, this is new to me, so I am not certain how difficult an undertaking this will be. My inspiration (for my attempt at this format/style, not the story itself) is drawn from Heart of Darkness   by Joseph Conrad. I do not anticipate that I will be as effective as Conrad in any way, but I do hope to learn from the attempt.
