Sometimes, I just feel the need to escape and vent my frustrations. Here I can express whatever I want without fear of my husband or my children seeing it. I guess this will be a hideaway journal so to say, but it will also be a place for my random randomness. My random randomness is when I see something that inspires me to comment on it or simply state an opinion about something going on in the world around us. Punctuation and grammar may leave a lot to be desired here, from time to time, because when I get in those moods a lot of times my fingers get way ahead of my brain.

You are right, you will have all of those memories to share with her. Every time I go to my mother's house I look at the same photos over and over again and never get tired of them.

These are all such precious moments to have in photographs. Scrapbooking is always interesting to me. I had a friend who did and she made them really artistic and cool.

The lack of mental health treatment in our country is one of the biggest issues. I can't stand it when there is a school shooting and people start screaming to ban guns. No, if someone is so mentally disturbed that they can shoot a bunch of innocent people, they would have caused destruction by any means. We as a society should learn to recognize and deal with mental illnesses before they come to this.

Interestingly enough, China has strict gun laws so what has been happening there? Crazy people have been killing off school children with mass stabbings. Then after the news reports come out they retract them and say they don't have a problem ... hmm

I'm living where Nascar is really popular right now. I've never been able to watch it much because it makes me dizzy if I look at the track.

But no, I'm sorry, not eating at McDonalds in Costa Rica. These are such nice thoughts about spending time with your daughter. Before you know it, these will be memories instead of daydreams.

As a descendent of the original "Nascar" runners (moonshiners, baby) I salute your blog! Our family came to North Carolina in 1642 with a land grant from the king. Some of them followed Daniel Boone through the Cumberland Gap into the west. Other stayed and eventually lost all of their holding in the Civil War. They moved to the mountains after that.

You are very right! His behavior struck a nerve with me, because it is not the actions of a heart of love for humanity. He hand picked who he thought deserved love. It doesn't work that way. It is even worse when it comes from a spiritual leader - As I said these are the behaviors that turn people away from The Lord and from going to church. I can completely understand why many are offended by behaviors of people who claim to be Christians. If we are not showing love to everyone - those who aren't treated with love have every right to take offense to that. Regardless of what a person thinks the issue is. I detest any behavior or statements that claims God hates a person. God hates our negative behaviors, not us!
