Kenzie sees her soulmate at a club and immediately feels a connection.
It was a typical Saturday night, and I was hanging out with my five best friends at our favorite local hangout 'Moonbeam'.  Moonbeam is karaoke/ dance club where we go almost every Friday and Saturday night.  We like to go there because it usually isn't very crowded and attracts a different type of crowd.  I mean not many people like to hang out at clubs where the decor consists of unicorns and fairies with purple and pink walls.  We just like it because it is something different and is kind of like stepping into an alternate universe.
Saturday night is karaoke night, we usually don't miss this night because it is my best friend Joey's favorite.  He has been into doing karaoke before it became as popular as it is today.  Since it is one of his favorite activities, at least three of us are here every Saturday night. Nothing out of the ordinary ever happens, and the same crowd is typically here every week, that's why I was surprised when a tall dark haired man that I have never seen before took the stage to sing "Hopes of the People" by Greedy Scorn.  Of course this caught my attention.  The man was fairly attractive with stunning blue eyes that stood out because of the dark hair.
I felt an attraction to him as soon as I looked in his eyes.  This is something that doesn't happen to me normally.  I mean I have been attracted to men before, but never of this caliber.  I felt like he wasn't just someone to enjoy looking at, but that he was someone that I needed to get to know.  Unfortunately, I have a hard time talking to people that I don't know.  I was going to have to come up with something clever pretty fast, since the club would be closing in an hour.  I decided that I would try to get Joey or Matthew involved,  They have been two of my best friends for the last 15 years, along with their wives after they became married.  Although they usually make fun of me for being so shy, they are also willing to help me when it comes to meeting a new guy.
