"Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself."
CHARLIE CHAPLIN
Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn
anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.

This is my supplementary blog in which I will post entries written for prompts.
Lyn's a Witchy Woman My cousin and I always did something with pencils, pens, art products, so they didn't suspect us until our giggling became too much. In fact, my cousin now is a painter, chorus singer, and gets some small roles on stage. She was always much more artsy than me. I, the dull one, loved reading, writing, and schoolwork.
I agree about the identifying characteristics if the writer takes it too far, so the person is easily identified, but noting some traits gives a character life when it may be flat previously.
Didn't your parents or family memebers wonder what you girls were scribbling down?
Simply Me I agree. Disrespect to the flag should never be allowed. And yes, it is difficult to keep up with which country is selling or reselling the products of human rights violators. Still, we do look for the expiration dates and such. Why not also check where the product was made? Lyn's a Witchy Woman Yes, so true. It also shows self-respect.
I like Faulker's work too, what I know of it. Your assessment is logical and well written.
" . For example, when the USA boycotts a country's cheaper products due to its disrespect of human rights, why do some of us buy those very goods from Canada and other places?"
ignorance...sometimes I forget to stay informed. I wish we could all know which products were made by slave labor/or inhumane ways.
I am happy to say that several of my grandchildren have decided on manmade diamonds over the "blood diamonds", for their wedding rings.
Freedom gets taken for granted here in America. We are numb now to what is acceptable and what is not. Many people don't remember the 60's. Everyone was educated on the correct way to honor the American flag. Doing anything to it was against the law. It's not okay to wear it as fashion. It's not okay to burn it. AND I am pretty sure it wasn't allowed to fly upside down.
But nowadays it's used like a middle finger. And freedom allows it?
It's Noche isn't it? I can totally relate to a cat's reaction to dogs barking. Mine aren't dogs fans. Thankfully, Lyv isn't either so we don't allow friends to bring their dogs here. Back in New Jersey, I did let one friend and it was so upsetting to Purryl and Macavity that I told her no more. When she asked why? I said do I bring Purryl or Macavity into Jack's space. Animals should have a safe place and Jack is taking Macavity and Purryl's away from them.
I think you did an awesome job in telling a cat's story.

I remember watching it in the UK when it first started. There were only two series beginning in 1966 until about a year later. They were repeated endlessly for years. I was 22 years old in 1966, but me and my husband loved the show.
