This is a Idea and will become a short story of 5000 to 9000 words reviews welcome
A poet wakes up at 3 a.m. and hears faint noises coming from the attic. She makes her way gingerly up the ladder that leads to the attic... She searches the attic with a flashlight and... almost has a HEART ATTACK when she comes face to face with an OLD MUSE sitting crouched in the farthest corner of the attic, shivering... With great difficulty, he convinces her not to scream or call the cops ... He tries to explain to her that he is her MUSE... or HELPER... He claims EVERY HOUSE in the world has such a helper, helping the home owner in whatever he or she wants to achieve in life. "Since you are a poet, I help you write poems. But if you were a bank robber, than I would help you pull off a heist," he explains. She is pretty sure she caught a THIEF and he is weaving this YARN to get off the hook. She gets very upset, since she believes LYING is the worst of all sins. So she challenges him. Says, if he can prove what he has just said, she will let him go or else... she is going to call the cops and deliver him to justice. The MUSE laughs aloud when he hears the word "JUSTICE"!!! OK, I'll prove it to you, he says. "Let's go..." Soon they are driving through a very expensive neighborhood. They sneak into the attic and yes, lo and behold, THERE IS A MUSE hiding in there! She still thinks this "team of thieves" is pulling her leg but she wants to learn more about it because SHE KNOWS the HOME OWNERS, Carl and Janice. The guy works at a bank and his wife runs a pottery store. "I didn't know Carl and Janice were writing any poems" she says. The new muse corrects her: "No, they are not writing poetry but they are planning to rob the Washington Savings Bank tomorrow at 3 p.m., and with my help they'll do just that" Muse #2 answers...
