I love what you wrote above, RedButterfly. Well said. Most of the time, Kitty Can Write, we get stressed thinking of writing. Don't think about it. Just write. Set a time block, your watch, whichever. When the time comes, write. You'll begin to love the hour when it comes.
I read one of your previous entries about money and as I read it I thought, 'this is a person who is moving towards herself (or himself) Someone who is using journal writing to become clear about who and what she is. And when you wrote that you went home to your parent's house to pick up your old journals, I thought,oh whow, this person has used journal writing for a long time to get to know herself deeply and widely. Wow, I finally found someone who uses daily writing to heal her inner self and to grow herself and to let her inner voice tell her who she is. Here is someone who has discovered that we are born a blank slate and we have to find ways to create the self we want to be. At least, I hope this is what your writing to yourself.
Thanks for sharing your ideas and values about money. I sometimes feel that I'l all alone in this capitalist rat-race society, while everyone else is running to get as much money as possible at almost any cost. Your piece helps me know that I'm not the only one who thinks there are more important than running full force after the dollar.
