I nearly gave up on blogging and WDC. Then life threw another huge curveball and I felt like giving up on everything. But I'm Scarlett...I keep trying and hoping. I know not where this will go but I take it one day at a time.
I was away for eight years and I am back. I know what you me about change. I moved back to the city I was born, four years ago, to care for my mother. Every thing has changed. The world keeps changing. Literally. I understand your concerns over climate change. Many people are in denial because they don't want to look at what me have done and change it. They may own stock in the oil companies or something. They say the world has always changed from ice age to not back and forth over the years in the giant scope of things. Yes that is a fact the earth has always had climate change. That thought gives them the out they need to turn a blind eye to it. I wonder if they also think the trash in the oceans are natural?
In Thailand (when is your next visit... ) I try to dress according to the color of the day. Thursday is orange. Once I dress accordingly I only need to look at what I'm wearing to be reminded. If I put on the wrong color though...
My life is boring. I have daily routines I keep track of that remind me I'm still breathing. Plus Pan provides me with support. I've lived alone for years so this is good for me. Today we are in Maha Sarakham.
Hi Scarlett, I'm excited to see you blogging again. Yours has always been a favorite of mine. It's been three years for me since I've blogged here also. In fact, I only log on about once every few months. I miss our old gang of friends and knowing that so many of them have passed away makes this a sad place sometimes.
I need to start blogging again, it was once therapeutic and I could probably benefit from it. It is a stress reliever.
How are the grand monsters? Ours are growing up too fast.
Welcome back, and I was thrilled to see another Scarlett's List of Five! Like you, I don't spend as much time here as I should. I also can't remember the last time I logged on. You promising to blog more does give me reason to come back more often, though.
Well... Blogville is a Ghost Town, but there are still bloggers around. I post a weekly blog "Porthole" (which I started in 2019) but update every day. I've given up on being interesting. I just record my blah blah day, I do post my comments and my comments to my comments in "Bibimbap 비빔밥 " . My old blogs are still active with sporadic entries. Porthole lists them all.
Most of the action is on the Newsfeed, "Question of the Day!" , "EXPRESS IT IN EIGHT" (poetry) and certain contests. So... check the Community Newsfeed and make some of the posters favorites so they come up on your personal newsfeed.
I'm forced to make new friends all the time as people come and go.
So glad to see you back in merry old England. Weather still just as dreary, no doubt. I've only been on one continent, but will at least fill up my quota of countries visited in North America when we travel to Mexico on a cruise. Still uncertain about it, though.
I think we are all like you say when traveling. I know that no matter how pleasant the time away from home, I still can't wait to get back. Then start missing where we had visited and wishing we had stayed longer. It's just our contrary nature. In winter we miss the summer, in summer we miss the winter. We have too much rain, then too little rain. We are a grumbling species.
So glad your grands are settling into the the school routine. Our's just started pre-K and are actually doing quite well. We had reservations, but they all seem unwarranted.
It's too bad that repairmen aren't like lawyers and sometimes do "pro bono" work. Then again, maybe its a good thing repairmen aren't like lawyers.
