The Vinlarion Chronicles comprise a series of novels detailing the lives and events of the people of Numenol - a distant planet which orbits a binary star system. These are the tales involving the Vinlarion family, their rise to power and their ultimate fall. The lands of the World are overrun by the evil forces who dwell in the southlands, but there is hope that once again the family Vinlarion will rise and prevail.
And so here am I... now sitting in a hotel room in early August, realising that I'm long overdue to get back here and do something productive.
Too long indeed. Surely I can't blame every single day on those damned distractions (remembering that we also had a fortnight in Italy and Amsterdam in between).
So what to do? A little summing up might be in order to clear the air, and also my head!
