I've got so much going on that I can't even take the time out to create a vision board. Besides, I don't know what I'd put on it. I've never been one for setting goals. I live by the seat of my pants. I'm just wandering through life knowing that I want to write and publish at least one book, but I haven't actually sat and pictured it. I've got some dreaming to do and a vision board to create!
I really like your idea of using your horoscope as a jumping off place for writing. I think I will check mine out and use it for some writing. I seldom read mine since I don't really believe that it defines my day but, you are right, sometimes it seems true to where you are at the time.
As to your family situation, I am saddened to hear about the family dynamics. You are right to be concerned for your father. Family traditions are important to all of us. He should be respected and appreciated as an important member of the family. I have a real problem with people who are disrespectful of others especially family members. Unfortunately, people who have changed habits in their life (drugs, alcoholism)tend to be "holier-than-thou people. Definitely not my favorite.
I am fairly new to the site and just stumbled on this entry today while reading the Newsfeed. I realize that I am a little late in commenting but thought I would reach out anyway. It's a great idea to break cleaning task down to a manageable size. As in any effort, little successes provide the stimulus for continued effort. I know that for me an organized environment is crucial for allowing me to accomplish most tasks, especially creative ones. I have to admit that a little dust doesn't bother me as long as the room is well organized. While this is true for me, it is not so for others. Everyone I worked for kept their surroundings in a constant state of chaos. Amazingly, they were very productive people. I learned to appreciate our differences and respect their way of managing, though it definitely is not my way.
Wish you the best, keep it up. It gets easier the more you stick with it.
I've never had a cat (old enough to remember anyway) but I grew up with dogs. 4 at one point. One of them, Buddy, was a border collie / sheltie mix and boy, did he shed. It was like he should have been bald with the amount of fur that was around the house. sooo. muchhh. hairrrr!!!!!!!!!!!! eek!

Truly, you have to talk to your sister. Ugh. Sisters. AND their hubbys. Ugh! But tell her how your dad needs this time to reminisce, and he isn't getting any younger. She and her hubby can go or not, but at least pay their half and find a nice place for ya'all would be most appreciated. Couldn't hurt? Maybe in an email, less emotions can seep thru. I too have a difficult bro in law. In NA and AAA and if I so much as have a tiny bit of 7&7 I am an alcoholic. It's annoying and hypocritical in the extreme. Me? I'm the last person likely to be an alcoholic, I hate most alcohol and am a wimp Seriously hope it works out. Maybe a stay-cation instead if you have too...
Great scott! No, I totally agree, but since I had to hire help for my kitchen a couple months ago... I've been keeping IT up and my living room (most of it) as well. I just am too inconsistent physically. Totally I nearly feel faint I'm so weak from going out yesterday, or for no reason at all. I AM cooking my healthy pasta today though not sure I can finish it without a nap.
This kinda list is a really good thing to do! Flylady River my mom mentioned her once. I have been doing laundry, the laundry that never ends as I clean more and more stuff that was at my moms before I moved, and the kitties have a LOT of blankies Spoiled lol
