One of my dreams has always been to see the U.S. in all its facets and diversity. In September 2018, I made the dream a reality! Here are my thoughts and impressions as we traveled from Virginia to Oregon, down the California coast, and back through the heartland.
I thank you for this entertaining article about your cross-Country excursion from Virginia, all the way to Oregon; including all the picturesque stops along the way.
I often tell people, "Enjoy it while you've got it." That's just what you did, and what I did, while reading this article.
Thank you again.
This wonderful trip with all of your beautifully targeted descriptions
is as appealing as any I've read in a long time. You decided what to share
with great care, and you described your surroundings while also
including something entertaining and unique about each
stop in your journey so it was as memorable for your readers
as they were for you.
When I came to the end of your travels, I really liked
each member of your family, and was delighted to see
how well your adorable dog fared.
"No matter how interesting the trip, after 6 to 7 days living out of a suitcase, sleeping in a different bed every night, sitting in a car for hours at a time, and even eating out daily, I was ready to stay put for a while."
I could sure connect with you on the above paragraph.
I would love to go to Oregon and Washington state someday! Montana is lovely. And Idaho is beautiful, too! What a nice trip! Your descriptions are wonderful.
@ {huser: judithd} There was no way my husband would leave our dog for that long so we really had no choice. She was a great travel companion and everyone loved her. Thou there were some sites we could not visit because they didn't allow dogs. Still, we were glad to take her along.
So nice to see you traveling with a 4 legged friend. My dog loves to go everywhere. It's not always possible to take him shopping so we just go for rides around the block sometimes.
When I travel, I like to go to the TX Dept. of Transportation site and check out rest areas that on my route. You never know when it will come in handy!
We drove past Crazy Horse but didn't stop. I admit that the scenery in this part of the country is absolutely beautiful. I am still learning how to use the site so this entry posted before I was really through with it. Check out the comment about the "Red Ass Rhubarb wine.
