Jesus wept. Angels weep. Animals weep. Tears are not just a human emotion. I think tears are more for the soul than the physical human form. It is an unspoken communication of the soul. Bible says God knows the very number of tears we shed. HE counts them. There is a deeper meaning we will only understand when we stand before him, face to face.
"Conspiracies" more than annoy me. Yes, there may be some truth in some of them but the hysteria surrounding most of them blots that out. And I don't approve of their entertainment/horror value.
Great blog post. One thing people forget or don't know is that the government has tech fifty years ahead of what we have, and thank is maybe an understatement, so what would take us a century to break, they can do in a blink of an eye.
I think the answer is simpler. We do what we are used to doing. Traditional societies use manners of living that have survived for centuries. some are more suited to their society and climate than so-called modern ways.
Why don't we build hurricane proof buildings in areas prone to high winds? Because we don't.
We have made progress in some ways though. I travel and mobility and international connections are affecting how people think of the "other". Small progress but progress none-the-less.
I would have to say that the biggest reason why we haven't changed to much more efficient ways of transportation, housing, energy use, etc. is because the leading corporations of almost EVERY branch of the economy (excluding the *few* environmentalist charities/corporations) couldn't give a rat's ass (pardon my language) about the negative effects or the lacking effects of their products are. They're still making money and they're still at the top of the markets. It's just my opinion, though.
