I have been to Israel and have walked along the banks of Galillee and the mount of olives. It was a trip I will always treasure and promised I would go back there one day. Asking our Lord to bless the food and giving thanks is a miracle because however little we have there is always some for tomorrow and enough to go round. It really works.
Well said Purplegirl, listening to the voice of our Lord not just now and again but every day. Attending to his word and having that spiritual ear. I was trying to work out how to get the peanut butter jar clean, my hand too big to get to the bottom. Before I knew it I was pushing the sponge I use for my dish cleaning down the bottleneck and using the tip of a dessert spoon it soon was clean. At that moment I realized I had asked the Holy Spirit how to do this, he answered straight away and I quietly grinned and thanked him. In the small things, he is there and in all the other things no matter what he answers. We must be ready to hear his voice.
